Drunk Souls

Drunk Souls formed in London in 2005, with Jake Hayes on vocals and guitar, Alex Carter on bass, and Ben Jenkins on drums. They played a raw, guitar-driven style that pulled from punk and grunge, and their lyrics often dealt with social and political themes. In 2008, their single "Human Race" became a breakout hit, topping charts in several countries and serving as an anthem for their growing audience.

That success led to extensive touring, where their live shows were known for a confrontational energy that sometimes drew criticism. Beyond "Human Race," songs like "No More Fighting" and "Pain of Life" continued to explore the band's gritty, uncompromising sound. They remained a fixture in the alternative rock scene through the late 2000s and into the 2010s.
