Dudu formed in São Paulo in the early 2000s with three members: Dudu Borges, Iuri Cunha, and Luiz Felipe. They released their debut album 'Um Novo Tempo' in 2006, which mixed pop, rock, and MPB. The song 'Á Primeira Vista' from that album became widely known.
Their later albums like 'Do Amor e da Falta' and 'Pessoas' explored different themes, from love to social issues. Some listeners felt these records moved away from their earlier sound. Other songs in their catalog include 'As Recordações', 'Velhas Histórias', and 'Só Tentar'.
The band's lineup stayed consistent with Borges on vocals, Cunha on guitar, and Felipe handling rhythm. They built a following through live shows in their early years before the 2006 album brought broader attention.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
