He went on to release several more albums, including 'Terra,' 'Mar,' and 'Fogo.' Over time, he worked with musicians like Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, and Milton Nascimento. His band has included players such as guitarist Arnaldo Duarte and bassist Arthur Maia.
In the late 1990s, he dealt with some legal issues related to a former manager. He kept making music through that period and after.
