Dué Le Quartz

Dué Le Quartz is a Parisian duo formed in 2013 by Camille and Clément. Their name translates to "Two Quartz," which gives a hint about their approach to harmony and arrangement. They started building an audience through small live shows and online channels, working independently without much backing.

In 2016, they put out their debut EP titled "... (Byou)." The title track from that release, along with songs like "Jisatsu Ganbou" and "Meikyou Shisui," established their sound, sparse, atmospheric, and built around Camille's vocals. Their music tends to be quiet and introspective, with lyrics that leave room for interpretation.

They followed that with their first full-length album, "Deux," in 2018. The record continued in a similar vein, leaning into mood and texture rather than big hooks or conventional structures. They've kept a fairly low profile since, letting the music speak for itself without much explanation or promotion.
