Dumblonde

Dumblonde is an electro-pop duo made up of sisters Casey and Taylor Parks from Nashville. They started out playing folk music before moving toward electronic sounds built around vintage synthesizers. Their 2014 debut EP was called "Smoking Roaring Twenty."

Their song "Dreamsicle" became something of a summer anthem for them. They released a full album with the same name in 2016. Other tracks like "Enjoy It" and "Breathe Slow" show their style, melodic, with ethereal harmonies layered over synth arrangements.

As they gained attention, some critics took issue with their lyrics and stage presence, calling them provocative. The sisters defended their work as a form of self-expression. They put out singles like "Champagne" and "Red Corvette" in the years that followed.
