After Blue, James released his solo debut 'Future Past' in 2006. The album included 'I Believe My Heart,' which also appeared in a version featuring Keedie. He followed with 'Unwritten' in 2010 and 'The Hardest Part' in 2016.
James has also appeared in television shows and stage productions. He has spoken publicly about dealing with depression and anxiety.
