Sergio Ricardo Morais da Silva and Serginho Rodber Marques formed the duo Sergio e Serginho in Diadema, a city on the outskirts of São Paulo. They started making music in the early 1990s, releasing their self-titled debut album in 1991.
Their 1993 song "Desenterre Seus Talentos" became their most recognizable track. The title translates to "Unearth Your Talents," and the song carries a straightforward message about finding and using one's abilities.
They worked primarily in the sertanejo style, a traditional Brazilian genre, and released several albums through the mid-1990s including "Quem Vai Cuidar de Mim" in 1994 and "Pé no Chão e Fé em Deus" in 1996. A compilation called "O Melhor de Sergio e Serginho" came out in 2001.
