Their first album, 'Boul Ko Rek,' came out in 2005 and included the track 'Mina Ramelona,' which became popular across Africa.
That song, along with others like 'Pé De Breque' and 'Santa Maria,' helped define their sound, which mixed Senegalese rhythms with hip-hop and soul. They released several more albums over the following decade, including '100% Local' in 2007 and 'Made in Dakar' in 2012.
At times, their work drew attention for its social commentary, and there were some questions about the origins of 'Mina Ramelona.' But the group kept recording, putting out '5th Element' in 2015.
