Their sound mixed Afro-Cuban rhythms with hip-hop, and they wrote about life in the city's neighborhoods. The duo's debut album arrived in 2004, titled 'Clandestino' after its lead track.
That song 'Clandestino' became their calling card, a moody piece about forbidden love that caught attention beyond Cuba. They kept recording through the 2000s and 2010s, putting out albums like 'Callejero' and 'La Vida Es Un Circo'. Their lyrics sometimes drew criticism for being too raw or political, but they generally stuck to their own perspective.
