Archive material and source history
The Dwight Twilley Band formed in Tulsa, Oklahoma around 1974, built around the friendship between Dwight Twilley and Phil Seymour. They were joined by bassist Bill Pitcock IV and drummer Keith Knudsen. Their self-titled debut album came out in 1975 and included the song "Looking For The Magic," which became their best-known track.
After their debut, the band released a second album called "Sincerely" in 1976. They broke up the following year. Twilley and Seymour both went on to work separately after that. The band did reunite briefly in the 2000s for some shows and to record another album.
