E-Doo

E-Doo formed in Leiria, Portugal in 2002 with three members: André Tentúgal on vocals and keyboards, Pedro Campiche on guitar and vocals, and Pedro Oliveira on drums. They started playing local bars and festivals, developing a sound that mixed electronic beats with traditional Portuguese rhythms. Their debut album came out in 2004, titled "Real Sentido."

That first album included the track "Real Sentido," which became something of an anthem for the group. Over the next several years they put out more records like "Resistência" in 2006, "Mude" in 2008, and "Paz" in 2010. Their music sometimes incorporated hip-hop, funk, and world music elements while keeping those Portuguese rhythmic foundations.

Their lyrics often dealt with social issues like poverty and inequality, which connected with some listeners and put off others. They worked with a few other artists over time, including Brazilian singer Chico César and Angolan rapper MCK.
