Archive material and source history
E-Thugs came out of South Central Los Angeles in the early 1990s. The group had four members: Kamakaze, Konfuze, Killa Tay, and Young Prod, who handled production. Their debut album 'Thug Life: Volume 1' came out in 1993 and included the track 'And He Kept On Whistling,' which became known for its whistle hook.
They put out two more albums, 'Daily Operation' in 1996 and 'Thug Brothers' in 1997, the latter being a collaboration with Ice Cube. Other songs in their catalog include 'Good Friends,' 'Paranoia,' and 'Stop the War.' The group broke up in the late 1990s, after which some members worked on solo projects.
