Easy Big Fella came out of the Bronx in the mid-1990s with three members: Latrell James, Demetrius Alexander, and James Prescott. Their sound pulled from R&B and funk, and it connected quickly. That track's beat and Trel's vocals gave them a solid early foothold.
Things got complicated after that. D-Money left the group and was replaced by MC Big Baby. In 2001, they faced legal trouble over marijuana and weapons possession, which led to some jail time and cancelled tours.
