Archive material and source history
Easyway formed in the Netherlands in the early 2000s, with Rinus Gerritsen on vocals and Rob van de Laar on guitar. Their debut album 'This Is Easyway' came out in 2001, featuring the single 'Forever In A Day.' That song, along with others like 'October 9th' and 'Stay Together (Sometimes),' gave them a foothold in pop-rock with straightforward melodies and plainspoken lyrics.
They followed up with albums like 'Gone Too Long' in 2004 and 'Home' in 2007. In 2008, guitarist Rob van de Laar left the band and was replaced by Mark van der Loo. The group kept recording, putting out 'The Great Escape' in 2010 and 'Memories' in 2013.
A lawsuit from former bassist Jan van der Ven over unpaid royalties surfaced in 2012 and was settled out of court. Easyway's later work includes the 2016 album 'Skyline' and the song 'Jardins Proibidos.'
