Ebba Grön formed in Huskvarna with Joakim Thåström on vocals, Gunnar "Gurra" Ljungstedt on guitar, and Lennart "Fjodor" Eriksson on bass. They came out of the late 1970s Swedish punk scene, releasing two studio albums: "We're Only in It for the Drugs" in 1979 and "Kärlek & Uppror" in 1980.

Their song "Staten & Kapitalet" became an anthem for disaffected youth, with lyrics that criticized government and establishment. Other tracks like "800°" and "Beväpna Er" carried similar confrontational energy. Thåström's manic stage presence and Ljungstedt's guitar work became part of their live reputation.

Though their career was brief, Ebba Grön's music blended punk with new wave and hard rock elements. Songs like "Alla Visa Mn" and "Die Mauer" showed their range within that aggressive sound. They're remembered as one of the important bands from Sweden's punk movement.
