A band that formed in 2007 and stayed consistent with melancholic melodies and guttural vocals.
For a good sense of their sound, try 'Meaningless' or 'Descent Of A Blackened Soul'. They're both pretty representative of what they do.
Their sound draws from the heavier end of metal, with songs like 'Meaningless' and 'Lost Beneath A Silent Sky' showing their lean toward dark themes. The lyrics often touched on those themes, which sometimes drew strong reactions. They kept working within that vein without much shift in their approach.
Echoes of Eternity formed in 2007 with guitarist Erik Rutan, drummer Tim Yeung, and vocalist Phil Tougas. Their debut album 'The Trinity of Shadows' came out in 2009, followed by 'As Shadows Burn' in 2014. That later album included 'Descent Of A Blackened Soul' and 'Twilight Fires', tracks that kept to their established territory.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
