The California siblings found their voice with 'Cool Kids' and kept writing melodic songs about feeling out of place.
If you want to understand Echosmith, start with 'Cool Kids' and 'Scared To Be Alone.' They're the songs that show what this band does best.
Echosmith's music has always been about the awkward, anxious parts of growing up. 'Cool Kids' captured that teenage feeling perfectly in 2013, and songs like 'Scared To Be Alone' and 'Tell Her You Love Her' kept exploring similar territory. Sydney Sierota's public discussion of depression and anxiety in 2017 gave those themes even more weight.
They started with the 'Summertime' EP in 2012, then broke through with 'Cool Kids' the next year. Their first album 'Talking Dreams' came out in 2013, followed by 'Lonely Generation' in 2017. More recent tracks include 'March Into The Sun' and 'Gelato'.
