Eclesiastes3 formed in Brazil's Christian rock scene during the early 2000s, taking their name from the biblical text Ecclesiastes 3:4. The trio included vocalist and guitarist Anderson Freire, keyboardist Leonardo Gonçalves, and bassist Clovis Pinho. They started playing local events before signing with the Brazilian label Som Livre.
Their 2009 debut album 'Amor Tão Intenso' gave them their breakthrough, with the title track becoming a major hit. The song 'Eu Preciso Aprender' also appears among their most recognized work. They followed with several more albums through the 2010s, including 'Uma Nova Canção' in 2011 and 'Esperança' in 2017.
Anderson Freire's vocals became particularly well-known as the band gained attention in Brazil. Their music often dealt with themes of love and faith, drawing from their Christian rock background while reaching broader audiences with songs like 'Amor Tão Intenso'.
