Eddie Dee

Eddie Dee came up in Puerto Rico in the late 1990s with a debut album simply called 'Eddie.' He mixed salsa rhythms with hip-hop touches, which gave him a different angle in a scene full of traditionalists. The track 'Si No Cuidas Tu Mujer' became a signature hit for him, with its direct lyrics and danceable groove.

In 2002, he released an album named after that song, which helped define his sound. He worked with other artists too, like on the track 'Quitate Tu Pa' Ponerme Yo' with Daddy Yankee, Ivy Queen, and Tego Calderón. His music sometimes addressed social matters, which drew both attention and some criticism.

He kept recording through the 2000s and 2010s, putting out albums like '12 Discípulos' and 'The Royalty.' Songs like 'Censurame Por Ser Rapero' and 'Hablame Claro' show his style, part salsa, part urban, with lyrics that don't shy away from saying what he thinks.
