Eddie-G came out of Memphis in the late 1990s with a sound that fit right into the crunk scene. The group included Eddie Griffin, DJ Paul, Juicy J, and Lord Infamous. Their first album, 'D-Walk to This,' came out in 2000 and gave them a track that became a calling card.
Songs like 'Gangstaz Without A Worry' and 'Here 2 Stay' carried the heavy, aggressive energy that defined a lot of their work. They put out a few more albums in the early 2000s, including 'We Can't Be Stopped' in 2001 and 'Edublean' in 2003.
Their material sometimes ran into trouble with radio bans and legal issues, which wasn't uncommon for the style they worked in. The band hasn't been active for a while, but 'D-Walk to This' still turns up in playlists that dig into that era of Southern rap.
