Eddu Grau formed in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, around 1996 when friends Eduardo Farias and Fernando Sanches started playing music together. They built a lineup with Felipe Martins on bass and Guto Tristão on drums. Their sound drew from Brazilian roots music, rock, and folk.
In 2000, their debut album "Caravana" included the track "Caminhão," which became a hit in Brazil. The album brought them wider attention and a following. They went on to release several more albums, including "Acústico" in 2002, "O Quadro" in 2004, and "Capitu" in 2017.
Some of their other songs include "Alma Gentil," "Brother Sol," and "Paralelo." Over time, they faced some legal issues regarding song rights and occasional criticism for their political views, but they continued performing.
