Eddy Benedict came up in Rio de Janeiro, where the local sounds of samba and bossa nova shaped his early musical sense. He started working with other musicians in the early 2000s, and they eventually performed under his name.
Their debut single "Nunca É Tarde Pra Sonhar" connected with listeners in Brazil, its hopeful theme giving the group some visibility. Other songs like "So Long" and "My Brother, My Friend" followed, appearing on albums such as "Sonhos de Um Sonhador" in 2006 and "Luz do Amanhã" in 2020.
In 2010, Benedict dealt with accusations of plagiarism, which he denied. The group kept recording after that, putting out records like "Raízes e Asas" in 2017.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
