Eddy Herrera

Eddy Herrera came up in the merengue scene from Santiago de los Caballeros in the Dominican Republic. He put out his first album, 'Eddy Herrera Volume 1,' in 1984. A few years later, the song 'Pegame Tu Vicio' from 1990 became a major hit across Latin America, which really established his name.

His catalog includes tracks like 'Cuando Te Pienso,' 'Amantes Prohibidos,' and 'Carolina.' These songs, along with others such as 'Yo No Sé Olvidar' and 'Devorame otra vez,' have been staples in his live sets and on radio for years. He's kept recording and performing, with albums like 'Espíritu Libre' coming out in 2010.

In 2009, Herrera faced sexual assault accusations that were later dismissed. He continued performing through that period. His band has included musicians like Avelino Junior on guitar and Quico Pérez on drums, though the lineup has shifted over time.
