Eddy Huntington was a British pop singer who had a hit in 1986 with 'U.S.S.R.,' a synth-driven track that played off Cold War tensions. He followed it with other singles like 'Shock In My Heart' and 'Up And Down,' working with musicians like bassist Nick Beggs and drummer Gary Barnacle.
His music leaned into the synth-pop and new wave sounds that were popular in the mid-80s. After the Berlin Wall came down, he kept recording, but the material from that period didn't catch on the same way. The songs from his earlier run, particularly 'U.S.S.R.' and 'Meet My Friend,' still turn up on 80s playlists now and then.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
