His music often deals with themes of love, loss, spirituality, and the search for meaning. Over the next decade and a half, he released albums like 'Oferenda' in 1979, 'A Cor do Som' in 1981, and 'Sombra e Luz' in 1992, working with musicians including guitarist Marcos Souza and drummer João de Aquino.
Castro returned to recording in 2004 with 'Livre,' an album that revisited the more straightforward singer-songwriter approach of his earlier work.
