Edinho Souza

Edinho Souza came up in Feira de Santana, a city in Brazil's northeast. He started singing at local festivals, drawing from sertanejo traditions. In 2014, producer Luciano Ribeiro signed him to Villa Music, and his debut album, 'Eu Tatuei Teu Coração No Meu,' took off. The title track became a hit, a straightforward ballad about love that connected with listeners.

He's released other albums like 'O Mundo Vai Saber,' 'Pra Sempre,' and 'Amor de Verdade.' Souza has worked with artists including Marília Mendonça, Matheus & Kauan, and Gusttavo Lima. He performs with a backing band that typically includes musicians on bass, drums, guitar, and accordion.

In 2018, there were plagiarism allegations that he denied. A few years later, his wife's serious illness became a personal challenge. Souza kept making music through it, finding it a way to stay grounded.
