In 1999, their song "Ex-vaqueiro" came out as the lead single from their debut album "Hijos del Silencio." The track connected with listeners across the country and climbed the charts. Some critics argued its lyrics about a former cowboy adjusting to city life promoted violence, but for many Venezuelans, it spoke to the experience of being left behind by economic shifts and changing traditions.
After that first album, they put out several more records, including "La Tierra de los Hijos" in 2001, "Amor y Llanto" in 2005, and "El Último Jinete" in 2010. Their sound mixed llanera rhythms with pop elements, though they never quite matched the reach of "Ex-vaqueiro."
