Edu Gegembauer is a Brazilian singer-songwriter from São Paulo who began releasing music in the early 1990s. His self-titled debut album came out in 1990, and he's put out more than a dozen studio albums since then, including 'Paraíso' in 1995 and 'Os Dias Seguem' in 2016.
His song 'Paraíso' became particularly well-known in the mid-1990s. Other tracks like 'Teu Calor' and 'Positividade' have also been among his more recognizable work. Gegembauer's music has sometimes touched on subjects that drew attention beyond just the melodies.
In 1997, there was a plagiarism accusation around a song called 'Amor Proibido' that led to legal proceedings. The situation affected how people viewed his work for a time, though he kept recording and putting out albums through the 2000s and 2010s.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
