Edu José came from Joinville in Santa Catarina and moved to São Paulo when he was 18. He put out his first album in 2004, which included the song "Apego." That track got some attention, and he followed it with other albums like "Sombra" in 2007, "Saudade" in 2010, and "Tempo" in 2013.
Some of his songs include "Uma Noite e Nada Mais," "Na Espera de Um Amor Acolhedor," and "Paz No Morro." He worked with bossa nova and folk sounds, and sometimes brought in electronic elements.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
