Edu Lencioni was a Brazilian singer-songwriter who composed and performed the 1982 single "Cadê Aquele Beijo." The song became a hit in Brazil with its melancholic lyrics and melody. He also recorded other songs like "Empurrando Com a Barriga," "Nossa Senhora," and "Você."
Born Eduardo Lencioni in 1948, he came from a musical family, his father was a bandleader. Early influences included bossa nova figures like João Gilberto and Tom Jobim. His first album was called "Geração do Amanhã" from the late 1960s.
Lencioni released over a dozen albums during his career, including "Lencioni 79" in 1979, "Lencioni 83" in 1983, and "Lencioni 90" in 1990. He faced personal struggles with depression and alcoholism, and in 2001 was arrested for drug possession.
