Eduardo Cassian came up in Puerto Rico, singing in church choirs before putting out his first album, 'Intimidad,' in 1995. That record found an audience in Latin gospel circles. A decade later, his duet with Raúl Gonzales, 'Entra En Mi Vida,' broke through to a wider crowd. It had a straightforward, catchy melody that stuck with people.
Around 2010, Cassian dealt with some personal and legal trouble that kept him out of the studio for a while. He came back in 2014 with 'Regreso,' an album that felt like a reset. The songs were quieter, more settled than some of his earlier work. He kept writing, and tracks like 'Tóxico' showed he could still craft a hook that felt lived-in.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
