Eduardo F. Pimentel was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1977 and started playing guitar at nine. He came up listening to MPB artists like Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, and Chico Buarque. His debut album 'Auto-Retrato' came out in 1998.
In 2000, his second album 'Penso Em Você' gave him his biggest song. The title track became a Brazilian standard, a simple melody about missing someone that stuck with people. He's put out other records like 'Contos Urbanos' in 2003 and 'Meu Canto' in 2006, and has worked with singers including Adriana Calcanhotto and Maria Gadú.
