Efeito Coringa formed in Rio de Janeiro around 2010 with vocalist Léo Lisboa, guitarist Jorge Aguiar, bassist Rodrigo Tavares, and drummer Paulo Henrique. Their debut album 'Coringa' came out in 2012, followed by 'Nação Coringa' in 2014 and 'Somos' in 2019. Keyboardist Bruno Reis later joined the lineup.
