Efemero formed in São Paulo in 1999 with Leonardo on vocals, Neto on guitar, Rodrigo on bass, and Ricardo on drums. They started playing small venues around the city, working to find an audience for their sound.
Their debut album 'Mais Que Palavras' came out in 2003, and the single 'Hora de Esquecer' became their breakthrough track.
Over time, Efemero released several more albums and saw some changes in their lineup. Songs like 'Lágrimas de Um Herói' and 'Leyla' continued to build their catalog of introspective, melodic material.
