Egoistic

Egoistic formed in 2014, a Japanese band working in metalcore and post-hardcore territory. Their sound centers on vocalist Izumi's screams and melodic passages, with the kind of complex arrangements that tend to draw listeners from those scenes. They released their self-titled debut in 2015, followed by 'Yumeutsutsu' in 2017.

In 2019, they put out the album 'Descending', which included the title track and songs like 'Devaluation' and 'It Doesn't Work'. That record seemed to clarify their approach, pairing aggressive instrumentation with more vulnerable, introspective moments. They've since released another album called 'Repent' in 2022.
