Their name comes from the Spanish phrase "del torque," which means "of the twist." They put out their first album in 2004, simply called "El Del Torque."
Their sound pulls from rock, tango, and electronic music, with songs like "I' Am," "Me Desperté," and "Zorra" showing that mix. They've released seven studio albums, including "Tarde para el fuego" in 2010 and "El Otro" in 2016. The band's music has appeared in films, TV shows, and commercials, and they've played festivals internationally.
