El Niño Gusano

El Niño Gusano formed in Granada in 1984 with Javier Ojeda on vocals, Francisco Javier Zurita on guitar, José Ignacio García on bass, and Manuel España on drums. They came up during the Spanish rock scene of the 1980s, putting out albums like 'El Efecto Dominó' in 1985 and 'Superpop' in 1988.

Their sound pulled from punk and new wave with some Spanish folk touches, and their lyrics often had a sharp, witty edge. The song 'Ahora Feliz' became a particular hit, connecting with younger listeners at the time.

They kept recording through the early 1990s with albums like 'Jardín de Flores' and 'El Elefante'. The lineup stayed consistent, with Ojeda's distinctive voice out front and Zurita's guitar work defining much of their sound.
