Elastinen

Elastinen is the stage name of Kimmo Laiho, a Finnish rapper who came up in Helsinki. He's best known as a member of the hip-hop group Fintelligens, which put out albums like 'Renesanssi' in 2000 and 'Kupla' in 2002. His solo work includes records such as 'E.L.A.' from 2012 and 'Iso Numero' from 2017.

One of his most recognizable songs is 'Aksaa Jaksaa,' which became something of an anthem. He's also released tracks like 'Anna mun,' 'Anna Soida,' and 'Bäkkiin stadiin,' along with a collaboration with Jenni Vartiainen on 'Epäröimättä Hetkeekään.'

In 2004, his Fintelligens bandmate Iso H died. That loss affected the group and shaped some of what came after in Elastinen's music. He's built a career on direct, sometimes outspoken lyrics that connect with listeners without much polish.
