Elemento Sete formed in São Paulo in 2010, with Lucas Silveira on vocals, Fábio Góes on guitar, Júlio Andrade on bass, and Marcelo Almeida on drums. Their self-titled debut album came out the following year. The band's early material included songs like 'Entre o Inferno e o Céu' and 'Mais Uma Vez.'
In 2012, Silveira publicly came out as gay, which brought both support and criticism. The band released several more albums over the next few years, including 'Origens' in 2013 and 'Contradições' in 2015. Their 2015 song 'Quem Disse' was interpreted by some as a critique of then-President Dilma Rousseff, leading to canceled shows and public debate.
Their later work includes the 2019 album 'Polaridades' and songs like 'P.A. (Projeto Amar)' and 'Transformado.'
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
