Elemento Visado formed in São Paulo in the early 2000s, originally as Visado. The band started with vocalist and guitarist Alexandre "Alê" Ferreira, bassist Rodrigo "Rod" Silva, and drummer Rafael "Rafinha" Costa. Their first album, "Instinto Assassino," came out in 2003 and got them noticed in Brazilian rock circles.
Their sound mixed hardcore and metal with melodic touches, and Ferreira's lyrics often dealt with social issues and personal struggles. The song "Fim do Corredor" from their 2006 album became one of their better-known tracks. They followed with albums like "A Vida É um Sopro" in 2008 and "A Estrada" in 2015.
The band's straightforward approach sometimes drew criticism for its content, but they kept working. The lineup changed over time, with Daniel "Dani" Reis eventually joining on drums. They were reportedly working on new material and planning a tour for 2023.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
