Elena Roger

Elena Roger is an Argentine singer and actress born in Buenos Aires in 1974. She first gained wider attention in 2005 when she starred as Eva Perón in a production of 'Evita,' which led to theater work on Broadway in shows like 'Piaf' and 'An American in Paris.'

Her music includes songs like 'Lo Shampoo' and 'Ámbar Violeta,' which appeared on her self-titled debut album from 2007. That record mixed jazz, pop, and tango elements, and she has since released several others, including 'Vientos del Sur' in 2012 and 'Tiempo' in 2022.

In 2016, Roger faced some public criticism after performing at a concert in Argentina that was viewed as politically charged. She has also spoken about encountering sexism in the entertainment industry.
