Hurle à travers toute la ville, à travers maints hurlements,

Hurle mort, ils sont tous morts!

Elle excerce son reigne sur une cité d'esclaves,

Car l'homme est l'animal le plus terrible.

Les guerres nous ensauvagent et -

Je le sais - en cédant au coeur noir de la nuit,

Nous abandonnons la loi commune.

Ta vie sous la lance et l'âme sur l'épée ;

Les traits de la fortune sont cruels.

Filaments de nuit éternelle

Dérobés à la ligne du temps,

Les vents brûlent les corps,

Effaçant toute trace,

Tout symbole et

Toute alliance.

Mais le froid n'éteindra pas les bûchers.

Et si je meurs, c'est d'accueillir Borée dans mes veines.
