Elenora

Elenora is a Paris-based collective that formed in the late 2010s around pianist and vocalist Désiré. Their music pulls from classical piano, jazz improvisation, and electronic textures, though they're not easily pinned to any single genre. Their debut EP from 2017 took its title from the song '88 Keys, 10 Fingers, No Problem,' which gives a fair sense of their approach: centered on the piano, but not bound by tradition.

They've released other recordings like 'Elegy for the Ephemeral' and 'Kaleidoscope of Dreams,' but it's the early material that introduced their sound. Songs like 'A Snake Will Say It Loves You' and 'Bedfellow' show how they balance structured composition with a looser, more atmospheric feel. Their live performances have drawn attention, sometimes for being more provocative than expected at established venues.

What comes through is a group that works from the piano outward, using it as both anchor and departure point. They haven't chased a consistent studio output so much as followed particular musical questions when they arise. The result is a catalog that feels more like a series of investigations than a polished discography.
