Elephant Gun Riot formed in Melbourne around 2009 with Joel O'Keeffe on vocals and guitar, Christopher Nolan on bass, and Cameron Humphrey on drums. They put out their first album, "Songs from the Black Lung," in 2012, followed by "The Messenger" in 2014 and "Echoes of the Void" in 2016.
Their song "Castaway" came out in 2015 and got some radio play on alternative stations. The band's drummer changed in 2018 when Cameron Humphrey left and Jack Davies joined.
