Elephant Parade

Elephant Parade formed in 2006 around singer-songwriter Malcolm McDuff and guitarist Rob Dessler, with bassist Joe O'Neill and drummer Tom Hollings completing the lineup. They're from London, though their early work met with some indifference. Their sound found its footing with the 2009 single 'Boat Song,' a ballad that caught attention in alternative circles.

That song anchored their debut album 'Waves' in 2011, followed by 'Slow Loris' in 2014. They've kept recording since, with albums like 'The Tides That Bind' in 2017 and 'Between the Waves' in 2020. Other tracks in their catalog include 'Everything Burns,' 'For You,' 'Friday Night,' and 'Goodbye.'

Their music tends toward the atmospheric, with McDuff's vocals carrying lyrics that lean into emotional territory. They've maintained a steady presence without becoming a mainstream fixture, working in a space where melody and mood take precedence over big production or trends.
