Eles e Anna Sátt

Eles e Anna Sátt formed in São Paulo in the early 2000s around vocalist Anna Sátt, guitarist Rafael Batoni, and bassist André Pretória. Their music drew from Brazilian folk and classical traditions, but they folded in experimental electronic touches that made them stand out from the start. The sound wasn't an immediate fit for the local industry, but their live shows built a following anyway.

Their 2005 album 'A Vida' brought wider attention, with the title track becoming particularly well-known in Brazil. That song, along with others like 'Ansiedade' and 'Dançar' from their catalog, showed their interest in mood and atmosphere, often built around Sátt's voice and spare, thoughtful arrangements. The lyrics sometimes touched on personal and psychological themes that drew mixed reactions from critics.

They kept working for over a decade, putting out a handful of records that maintained their particular blend of acoustic warmth and subtle electronic texture. The core trio remained constant through those years, developing their sound without dramatic shifts.
