Eletric Mob came out of Los Angeles in the mid-1980s with a lineup that included vocalist Phil Lewis, guitarist Mark Slaughter, bassist Chris Van Dahl, and drummer David Huff. Their self-titled debut album arrived in 1987, and its opening track 'Upside Down' got steady radio play.
Things didn't hold together. Creative friction grew between Lewis and Slaughter, and Van Dahl had substance issues. Lewis left in 1992, which pretty much ended the band's original run. They managed to put out a few more records after that, including 'Crimes of Passion' in 1992, but the core was gone.
