Eliabe formed in Salvador, Bahia around 2006, with Eliabe Lima as the singer and songwriter. The band's debut album 'Acalmar' came out in 2009, and its title track became a hit. They followed that with albums like 'Despertar' in 2011, 'Eclipse' in 2014, and 'Reflexos' in 2017.
Their songs sometimes drew criticism for exploring themes of sexuality and social justice. In 2012, they were involved in a legal dispute over music rights. The band's lineup included guitarist André Santos, bassist Rafael Lima, and drummer João Paulo at one point.
Beyond 'Acalmar,' their catalog includes songs like 'Aflição,' 'Assassino,' 'Digital,' and 'João.'
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
