They released their debut album in 1998, which featured the song "Dia Difícil." That track became their most recognizable work, a ballad about facing hard days that connected with listeners. The band went on to record several more albums over the following decade, including "Dias Melhores" in 2002 and "Recomeço" in 2009.
At one point, Elias Newrap got tangled in a legal dispute with their record label. The conflict created some uncertainty, but the band kept performing and recording through it. They maintained a following in Brazil, where their live shows were known for their direct, unpolished energy.
