A rock band that formed in 1985 and lasted nearly twenty years, known for 'Der Letzte Tag' and a shift after a car accident.
For their early sound, 'Der Letzte Tag' is the place. To hear the shift, try 'Morning Star' or something from 'Time Line.'
They put out 'Tears of the Moon' in 1990, and 'Der Letzte Tag' from that album became their most recognizable song. After Sabine Dünser's 1995 car accident forced a tour cancellation, they returned in 1997 with 'Time Line,' which felt more experimental. That turn gives their catalog a distinct before-and-after quality.
They started as a trio in 1985 with Dünser on vocals, Thomas Negele on guitar, and Jürgen Tieber on bass. The 1995 accident interrupted things, and when they came back with 'Time Line' in 1997, the sound had changed. The band broke up in 2003.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
